I received my report today. The sheet says the car is number 624 for 1968 xr-7G. How many were built in 1968?
According to Cougar …by the Numbers,1098.
From my understanding, I thought 622 XR7-Gs were built.
There’s really no way to know exactly how many were built. At one time Kevin Marti said there were 619 XR7-G’s built but that was before we discovered there were extras that did not fit into his statistics. We know that there were less than 700 built so it is a pretty rare car. Exactly how many may never be known.
