In Denmark there is a lot of rumors About a import car should preferably be from Californien, All others are fill with rust…!!
Is that a isue…? They can’t All Come from Californien…!! And some of them must have cross stats many times over 50 year.?

There are several other states in the USA where cars are generally very dry, ie no rust. New Mexico. Nevada, Arizona, and Utah are generally very good places if the Cougar has lived there all its life.

Most of California is good, however cars can rust very quickly if they live right on the coast where the air is wet and salty.

Best thing to have is lots of pictures of the places where rust can happen.

Thanks Royce!
In Denmark we are surrounded by saltwater, and in the 60,70 and 80’s it was a huge problem with rust, and no protection from it, but it was european and japanese cars then, not so much metal in them as in US cars.

Another reason to frequent this site. If you find a car often one of us can go look at it for the price of a tank of fuel and a Burger.

Thats a good deal, i know the gas and burgers are cheap in US… , have been there a few times, actually close to WCCC.
I think i could use that help when i am ready, if i shall go to US repeatedly to inspect cars, the budget for the car will be reduced, that would be bad… :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
