I got this from WCCC. There’s a single black wire and no obvious easy way to mount it.
I can’t find any installation videos on this specific one in YouTube. I don’t recall any electrical wiring going to under the hood.
I have a 1968 standard model, not the XR7. What should be easy is totally stumps me.
It goes to a battery power source. Ground is the casing; it turns on when the hood is tilted and the mercury inside completes the circuit.
Is there a mounting location or do you just drill a hole where desired?
essentially drill were you want but take note of the easiest way to thread the wire down the in side of the hood structure .
I did this to my 69 but all my holes were already drilled etc.
Mine was the original light that came with the car.
Under that light are the original mounting holes etc,
not sure how similar the 68 is ?
