How to remove light switch

Hey all I’m striping down my parts car and I’m stump on my light switch how do I remove it?
I unbolted it from the dash and unscrewed the face plate but what’s next? Does the knob pull off or shaft come out?

There is a button you have to push on the drivers side of the switch. You then pull the whole shaft out.

There’s the button (from an earlier thread on this topic). 1967 and 1968 are similar.
