On this forum Can we post .PDF format. If so? Can we not create serchable PDFs in a section that contains tech advice. from where ever we find it. schematics, or other useful things, that would be of great interest to the forum members.

Dwight that is a great idea. I don’t know if the soft ware will support it, but if you email any kind of PDF I can put in the documents section of the site for sure. Keep the ideas coming!
I have an idea too. Since Vbulletin rules the forum roost with their software, would it be possible to put the poster info on the left the way Vb does it?
I think I may need to bite the bullet and buy the V bulletin license. I think I can get a single site new license for about $200. I need to see what the maintenance will run. This software is open source, so in addition to being free, there are lots of good sources for plug ins ans help that are also open source (free).
Bill please put up a button to donate so we can help get the site rolling. I wish I could help some other way but I am too computer retarded. Mike
Hmmm… hadn’t really thought about that. I think maybe there should be more here before I put the tip jar out.
Could it also be possible to donate via some regular vendors ?
For example, I have no intention of opening an account with paypal. I do buy cougar parts once in a while. If a vendor could tack on a donation on an invoice, then transmit whatever is left after expenses (non-profit item, need to check about taxes), it could help since a reminder would be there at EVERY Internet transaction…
just an idea…

There is plenty here. I for one would feel good about helping to get it started.
What would using VB instead get you besides duplication of look and feel?
1969XR7Vert, Maybe not much! Jay has done a great job of modifying things here to make it work more like MC.Net. Mostly what I was looking for was a way to make new users feel at home with the way it looks and works. It looks like we are getting pretty close to that.
Oldwood, thanks for the vote of support. The first step is the hardest.
Johnboy, That is an excellent idea, but lets see what the Cougar vendors have to say about it. Jay has set the donate button up so that you don’t have to have a pay pal account, you can use a credit card if you want. I am not asking you to donate, just sharing the information.
excellent!
I like the left side formatting. Vbulletin is the king, but I wouldn’t think it’s necessary here.
Look what blizz does with very antiquated freeware over at the cleveland forum.
I’ll second that! I don’t believe anything is missing.
