C7OF-F also is correct for a 67 Cougar with the 390, there out there.
I discovered one of these on eBay a few years back for my GT-E. After looking in the Ford/Mercury parts books, it seems this casting number distributor was also used specifically on California 390’s. Mine has a late 1966 casting date code.
