Replaced the distributor with an Ignitor III unit. Just as a heads up. If you do this the cap(non HEI) is much taller than stock, this prevents the air cleaner from fitting, I added a carb spacer and that helped with the cleaner clearance, but now the hood won’t clear the cleaner. As a recap adding Ignitor III distributor: Taller cap = Improper air cleaner clearance= Improper aircleaner clearance requires carb spacer= Carb spacer = hood not closing air cleaner too high= Air cleaner to high=??? I love the performance of this unit on my 351W but now I am considering cutting the hood or going with one of those heart shaped spoge cleaners from back in the day. If anyone has used this product and can give any advice I would appreciate it.

Be careful if have a carb back fire, the foam on mine caught on fire! That is why I painted the center of my hood on my old 68 with a black stripe. Burned paint!
