I'm back !!

Hey everyone !

Been busier’n a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs recently, so not had much time for forums !

Spent all last year rebuilding my car, and then rebuilt the engine.
Then I had to rebuild the engine AGAIN after a cam failure, and still not got it right !!

Packed up everything I own in the summer, and moved from Scotland to Norway, but I haven’t brought my car yet. Really missing it.

Not got the most reliable internet connection ever, but hoping to get more involved with stuff again.

Most recent pic of my beloved, taken a few days before I left.

Great to have ya here Q-Dog!!

Howdy Q-dog. Glad to see you here.

How do, Mr. Q!

WElcome, and, what’s going down on the handles?

Q, Welcome! Is that your Maverick as well? My Mom had a baby blue 70 Maverick, with a straight 6 and when she stomped on the pedal it would really fly. (She had to cross 3 lanes of traffic to get out of our driveway)

Paul

Nah, the Maverick belongs to a girl in our local club. Sweet little motor actually, all original, 302. Non power comedy drum brakes.

Nice, honest little car.

Hey Quattro! Welcome. Hope that Norway treats you well. My wife is if Norwegian descent, those girls can be feisty… How will winter compare to Scotland?

Winters gotta be bad, what with the kilts and all…

Thanks Bill.
Yeah, Norwegian women are most definitely feisty !! :open_mouth:

Winter will be a hard one to call.
Recently in Scotland we’ve been lucky to have some pretty warm winters, although the last two have been pretty chilly,

I think it’ll be much colder here for much longer periods. Where I was in Scotland if we get snow, it normally only lasts a few days freezing temperatures only last a short time too.

Over here, last year it started snowing in December, then didn’t really stop till spring !!
Temperatures were pegged at 0ºF for a good few weeks too.

Quite looking forward to it tho. It’ll give me a chance to learn how to ski and snowboard !!

Not to mention all the possibilities of “keeping warm”!

Sometimes the feistiness is a good thing, my friend.

Like when you order hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of parts for your Cougar?

That feistiness might not be so great then, huh?

Yknow, like expensive prosthetic legs and defibrillators and stuff?

You’re going to tie barrel boards to your feet and jump off a mountain?
