I'm new here, but I've been in the old car hobby a long time long time!

Hello,
I just bought a 1969 Cougar Convertible in restored condition.
390 cid Auto
Lot’s of options.
The shipper has not brought it to me yet but it’ll be here in a week or so.
I can’t figure out how to post a picture…??

On the bottom of the panel, there is a box with an arrow pointing up, that means upload, click it and viola pic a picture.

As a new member for a while you may be limited to 1 picture per post. I can’t wait to see yours.

Welcome! I’m another 69 convertible owner and I look forward to seeing your car!

Here you go.
Bad pic from the place I bought it.

Looks great! Did you get a Marti report?

Very nice car! I know you haven’t received the car yet, but how was your buying experience with that dealer? Post more pics when you get your!!!

Looks like it is still up on the dealer’s website. Nicely equipped car.

Buying experience was fine.
Normal, I’d say.

Yes someone posted the Marti.

Lots of detailed pictures on Fuel Required’s website.

It is nicer than it looks in the pics.
Did not pay asking, but I did not get the deal of the century.

I’m having a major issue with the $h!tty Department of Transportation in Pennsylvania.
They will not give me an antique tag because they say the wheels are not factory.
They are incompetent idiots!

Anyone have a scan of factory literature, or any other information so I can show these idiots that the wheels are correct?

Thanks in advance.

I think these are your wheels in this Ford ad. Good luck with the numbskulls.

Thanks.
I’ll look for that ad on eBay.
Hopefully I can find some other recon.

Real nice car! Not that it should matter for the antique tag, but the factory styled steel wheels had chrome trim rings rather than the chrome plating. And since styled steel wheels are not listed on the Marti report, your car came from the factory with black steel wheels and wheel covers. Your wheels are a big step up from that, and look great!

Very nice! It was built a week after my ‘69 convertible.

Thanks all.
I can’t wait to get it.
Won’t be for a while as I’m traveling for work!
Got to pay for this hobby somehow…LOL

@Calicat
One would think it does not matter but they are saying that the wheels are aftermarket.
So I have to get proof that they were offered from Mercury.
I don’t think they will notice the chrome vs. trim rings. (I hope…)

All good.
It went through Penn DOT as an antique .
Thanks for the help.
