So, after forever reading about how difficult it is to access the inner fender VIN on an assembled car, I decided to try an endoscope. I simply removed the two center fender bolt, gently pried the fender up 1/8 and with ease could read the digits. Just thought I’d share as this is a very easy way to inspect a possible purchase.

There’s an easier way. You can stick your phone under each fender above the front tire and take a photo with flash. Reverse the image and the VIN is there for you.
Great idea Royce, just didn’t work w/o scrapping off all the undrcoating.
