Inner rear fender splash guards rubber tracing needed

I bought a set of original inner guards and they did not come with the rubber attached. Can someone trace a set for me? If you have an extra set hanging around? I’ll pay shipping!

What year is your Cougar?

Sorry.
1967.

Anyone?

These are available from WCCC and are pretty cheap in my opinion. I was just looking at a set tonight for myself as I was missing the rear splash guard on th pass. Side. I think there is a difference between the 67 & 68. The whole set is only $28.

Yes, except those are the Mustang ones! They do not offer the Cougar rubbers. They are listed as Cougar but the rears are Mustang. Look at the photo

The rears are the same 67 and 68. The fronts are different due to needing to clear the “new for 68” side marker lights.

50% of all 1967 Cougars use the 67 Mustang rear splash shield rubber based on the dozens of 67’s on this property. I have contacted my supplier and they are going to make 100% of their 1967 kits to have the correct Cougar profile. If one is a stickler and theirs came with the Mustang profile in the rear they can request a set from our old stock. If you will be patient we will have correct sets in stock within 2 weeks (we hope).

Here’s a couple pics of Don’s '67 GT we have in the shop currently. It’s never been apart. Strange to see that the LH side came with the proper Cougar rubber, and the RH side got a Mustang piece. You can tell by the bulge in the rubber (circled) where the Mustang fender has a raised contour, and the Cougar doesn’t.

Yeah,
Cougar fenders are differently shaped from Mustang fender, and the splash shields are (should be) different.
That annoyed me…
On my 1968 restore project, I took the time to make a pattern for the rear shields, and cut my own rubber parts from sheet rubber from Home Depot, and attach them to the metal parts. My rubber material was not the best choice, but they fitted nicely, and I think they will shed water better. And are not seen in normal use…
Did not know to look closely at the fronts in my 68. They may also need a little fitment work too, if they are styled for the 67 rather than the 68 . I will check more closely on these items at the next opportunity…
Of course, I probably will not be running the car in water.

We have the spot on correct Cougar kits.

If for some reason you would like the 67 kit that has 67 Mustang rear seals (like many came with from the factory in 67) we have some of those as well but you have to ask for substitution as they are not on the site.
