Now I’m waiting for delivery of 70 cougar.(without AC)
So I would like to put the audio head unit(din1) in the glovebox for keep the original.
Could anyone tell me the inside dimension of glovebox?

It’s fairly tall, but not deep. With the liner(Plastic box) removed you might get one mounted to the glovebox door. But not mounted behind it facing out. If somebody gets you measurements I’ll get that this afternoon.

I don’t mind the angle to put, because it is with remote control.
Congrats on getting a 1970 Cougar. The glove box is kind of V- Shaped. The dimensions are approximately 10-3/8" long x 4-5/8" deep. The lock barrel protrudes into the glove box about 2".
If you have air conditioning the box liner is a lot smaller front-to-back.
