I recently had the dash apart on my ‘69, and noticed many of the instrument panel bulbs were marked “Toshiba.” Which got me wondering: Was Ford using Japanese parts to build our cars back in the day, or are these later replacements?
The Toshiba name didn’t exist prior to 1978. Somebody has replaced those bulbs more recently.
