Hey everyone, refurbishing my 68. Sweet little gem. Exterior is “Cardinal Red” and red interior.
I’m trying to determine what the interior color actually is called so I can cross reference and determine the paint code to redo a few areas with the appropriate spray cans out there.
When I pulled the back seat out and the back panels also it shows an area where the headliner wasn’t exposed and it is far more of a “red” color whereas the rest of the interior is almost more of a dark burgundy look.
My eyes are going to pop out of my head if I look at one more website trying to get this answer.

It’s called dark red. Everything in the interior won’t match exactly. That’s how it’s supposed to look.

No in Canada actually the second upside down photo was an attempt to correct the first one grrrrrrrrrrr

Any ideas on paint codes or charts that will have the color " Dark Red" ?

SEM vinyl dye seems to work for lots of folks for the flexible parts. I think they also sell a lacquer spray.

Just curious, what is the trim code? (off the data plate)
The trim code is 1D
If this was a Canadian built car, the interior paint would have been Dark Red Metallic. Ford Part Number M1J-2082 Enamel Paint

Thx Trixie, I have found the color and product for the interior, the color is now known simply as Burgundy in Duplicolors catalogue.
I have purchased enough to redo the interior and thank you and other members for your assistance.

I’m not sure how to reference another thread here but we discussed interior paint codes a few months ago. As an FYI, there were two slightly different formulas for each color – one with a bit of metallic in it (often referred to back then as “poly” or semi-gloss) for painted metal areas, and one without for vinyl parts.
