Introductions for the newbie..

Hey everyone! I am a recent addition to the Cougar community. My 1971 came to me through a family member that became overwhelmed. There were a lot of issues. There still are some issues, but not quite as many. It is still a triple black 71 XR7 vert. It has a good bit of storage rash and some body work that needs professional attention. Currently working through the power steering… Cheers, Aaron

Aaron, let me be the first to welcome you to this great forum, there is a lot of information to be had, so don’t be shy.
That is a good looking Cat you have there.

Aaron welcome to the Classic Cougar Community. It’s great that we have another new member. How long have you had your Cougar?
Steven

I have had the car since August. It is definitely a work in progress. Right now I am replacing power steering lines, and fixing transmission leaks. I did a bit of accent painting on the grill. This is what it looked like when it was trailered in. The grill looked like it was lifted off a Lincoln.

I like it! :sunglasses:

Welcome! That’s one nice looking car.

Cool car, lots of luck with it!

Welcome to the forum. That’s is a great looking Cat. Love the black combination on that 3rd generation. Diego

Triple black is cool and the blacked out grille looks great!

Nice Cougar. At first glance, I thought it was Cindy’s Cougar in Massachusetts. But, I couldn’t see the pink stripe. Where are you located?
