We are still considering replacing my '68 GTO with a 1969 or 1970 Cougar XR7 but its been a really long time since I looked one over and I think it would be a good idea for my son to see one up close so he is sure this is what he wants us to build before we follow through with buying one. I was hoping to locate someone in the Chicago area with a 1969 or 1970 that we could check out in detail. Can anyone help us out?
Sounds like it’s time for Bricklyn to coordinate another get-together of the Chicago Cougar Crew! And this time with our cars, not just the beers. Although maybe with the beers too.
Ya know I was just thinking of that!!
If Marks son is home from school and has his 70 vert going he might be there, you’ll be able to see my 69 SS, and Marks 69 Vert if hes available.
Theres a car show/ bennifit comming up on June 2nd that is a pretty good one that most likely going to thats right off I-90.
I will post the ad and let everyone know later on today if I get time.
I was hoping to see a 1969 or 1970 Cougar in person a little sooner. I think I’m getting an offer on the GTO tonight and I’d really like to check out a Cougar as soon as possible. I have a potential Cougar located that is unfortunately NOT local that I passed on a week or so back because the money suddenly had a more pressing use (home HVAC). That car may still be available and I would want to move on it when the money from the GTO is in my hands. I will come to see the Cougar any week night or over the weekend. Thanks!
Ed, If interested, you are welcome to stop by and see our 69 vert and 70 vert , and Chris, you might stop by and see the progress also. I should be around Wedensday night if that works for everyone.
Sounds great. Where are you located? This just became more urgent as the GTO offer came through tonight scary close to my asking price and I think I’ve found a couple of potential cats. You can email me at pontiac.ed at flash.net or call me at 630-632-0389 to share the particulars.
Ed, you may want to change your email address so spam and bots don’t get ahold of it. Change it to (pontiac.ed at flash. net) This way with the “at” changed and the spaces, you will be good.
Thanks, I didn’t think about that. I was a little overwhelmed by the quick pace of the selling process on my GTO and my head was elsewhere. Could you please fix it in the quote in your reply?
