Jacking points for my 67

I have wheel dollies to prevent flat spotting. What are the best jacking points for my base 67? I am guessing the center section of the rear for the back?? How about the front? Need to get the wheels about 6 inches off the ground to get the dollies under them.

The glove box book shows where the jack points are. None are on the front or back. Sorry I don’t have a book handy.

A thought here. car sitting on tires… used to be a big deal way back in the days of bias tires, not radials.
Now, if your worried still, then supporting the car by its suspension would be best. Stands under the rear axle tubes. Front, well support under front lower arms hanging or under the strut rod nut/bolts at the arm.
The curved type dollies support a tire with a larger surface, so flat spotting would be less. In the 30 + years of Cat ownership, never had an issue with this.

I’ve used the original bumper jack at both front and rear.

If I just want to change a tire, clean a wheel, etc., I put a floor jack under the lower A-arm and the rear spring bracket plate.

Since I drive the car several times per week I don’t worry about flat spots on the tires.

Cougars didn’t get bumper jacks (at least 67-70)… kinda like pulling a cat by the tail! LOL

The original jack is a scissor jack on mine. Bumper jacks came along in 1974 with the bigger Cougars.

…starting about the time of those behemoth shock absorbing bumpers in 73/74. Funny how 5 mph impact was so important back in the day, yet todays cars can’t handle any impact without requiring a whole new front or rear panel and paint.

I bought a slotted rubber disc attachment for my floor jack that fits over the pinch weld at the factory specified locations for the scissors jack. Works great for a quick wheel change.
