The car that never was but should have been: The Eliminator Convertible!
The '70 Mercury Cougar convertible is one of the best looking convertibles ever built. When retracted the roof folds completely below the line of the rear deck giving the car a clean appearance. It is one of those cars you like to just sit and look at…
So why Mercury failed to build an Eliminator convertible is just incomprehensible. But fortunately that didn’t stop Zoli from picking up the ball and creating his beautiful convertible Eliminator tribute.
Beautiful car and congratulations on winning ROTM. This month had a great list of nominations. I look forward to reading the story behind you car.

Congrats Zoli. Your car is such a beauty, and when I look at it as the ride of the month I think the blue color goes perfect to the header on this forum as well
Well deserved. Zoli’s car is one of the best resto-mod musclecars in the hobby that maintains a modicum of factory sensibility and user friendliness. It’s a testament to his ability to imagine with style and uitility. A benchmark in our community, to be sure.
