Liftmaster?

Anyone have the Liftmaster 3800 jackshaft style garage door opener? Getting tired of manually opening the shop overhead since we had to replace it with a much heavier wind-load door last year. Looking at going with the 3800, so, speak up on your experiences…

Thanks!

I’ve got one and love it. I have a few friends that have them as well. Great opener for a taller door. Neat lock mech.

BTW Your car is looking great.

Thanks!

All the reviews I’ve read seem positive, so…we’ll see. I’ll have to move an electrical box for it, since I wired for a “normal” one. Shouldn’t be a big issue, though.

I have a liftmaster, not sure if it is a 3800 or not. Mine mounts on the front of the garage wall and allows my garage door to almost hit the ceiling for clearance of cars on my lift. Love it. And yes it has the sliding lock when it closes too.

I don’t know if I can recommend a Liftmaster. I just had to replace one of mine after only 22 years of daily use.

LOL, that’s good enough info for me, Al…

Hey, those of you that have them, did you do the install yourself?

I just want to say thanks for this thread. I wasn’t aware of the Liftmaster product, but it looks like a great solution for automating a tall door in my current shop.

Anytime!

When I think of Liftmaster, I think of this:
