Ok I am partial to Lime Frost Cougar’s 
. Some people like it and others don’t, so that’s ok. I noticed three late model cars today that have a color close to Lime Frost. One was a Mustang GT, a Kia (something) and a Jeep. Has anyone else noticed that old classic colors are making it to new cars? What have you seen? Have a photo of the car and the color?

I think Ford calls that color ‘Legend Lime’ on the late model Mustangs. At the Fabulous Fords Forever show every year, there are 10-15 of them that park side by side.
I like the grabber blue color that was (?) available on late Mustangs. Maybe still is?
Not a big fan of the green. But luckily everyone isn’t me.

I would like companies to offer more colors. I know most people love white, black, and the million different shades of silver and gray that are out there but I like the unusual stuff. I even like the crappy browns and olive greens that were popular in the 70’s when I was a kid. Not that I would buy some of the combinations but at least they were different. Jeep offers a bright orange and bright green now that I’ve seen around. Pretty cool.
As long as nobody brings back plum crazy purple or whatever the hell Mopar called it!
It will be interesting to see how Legend Lime ages. Ditto for the others, but I don’t really expect to see any 40-ish Kia Souls running around, so the Mustang is the one that will show if it’s the color or the paint technology that gave Lime Frost its bad rap. BBCat does get a lot of positive comments on its color, so it’s still pretty popular out there when it’s fresh.
I’m definitely a convert. When I bought my X code there was no way I was ever going to paint it the original color. But after seeing the color on a couple cars when it’s fresh I changed my mind.
Lime Frost suits the lines of a Cougar much better than the new rounded shape cars. It looks a bit lost on the modern Mustang.
I have to admit, after 45 yrs of parking lot dings and panel repairs, my Lime Frost coloured Cougar panels has many shades of green, but she is a 20 footer, looks great from 20’ away and in photos. So until I get enough cash together, which is difficult with annual round trips from NZ to France to visit our first grandchild.
Al don’t look now but Mopar is bringing back Plum Crazy for 2013 along with Hemi Orange High Imapct. Orange is ok but I’m with you…not a fan of Plum Crazy Purple. I guess a lot of people like it because they have a website devoted to it.
