Looking for dad’s ‘67

Some years ago I came across this photo of our family’s first Cougar:

I’m the handsome gent on the right.

I remember the car vaguely but nobody including dad remembered if it was a ‘67 or ‘68 and as you can see all the distinguishing differences are obscured.

Last week I stumbled across an old invoice where this car was used as collateral for a loan and got the VIN: 7F91A568688

I ordered the Marti:

Nicely equipped it was for a base model.

I asked dad why he traded it so soon for the ‘70 Cougar that became my first car:

He said something about the ‘67 not running very well. Who knows?

The registry had this VIN recorded anonymously in 2013 so I’d love to know if anyone has any info on its current location.

Very cool that you located the VIN for the '67 and got the Marti. Yes, an A code with console and air-conditioning is very nicely optioned. My dad bought a '69 standard brand new and my first car was a '70 XR-7.
