I’ve had this laying around for years but couldn’t bring myself to drill holes in the trunk (I know that’s rich coming from a guy who cut the roof off), so I came up with a nifty idea for a temporary installation- super strong neodinium magnets on each of the posts. I glued a thin rubber washer to the bottom of each magnet to protect the paint and add some friction to keep it from sliding. I was skepical at first but have been daily driving with it on for over a week now and it hasn’t budged. I think I might even trust it to haul beer— the rack itself is fairly light and these magnets are amazingly powerful!
