Yes there is. Just setting on the rack they age. They rubber and glues in them start separating. It takes a while. The setting in the sun only speeds up the process.

The vehicle was said to be in California all of its life.

The air pollution didn’t help I’m sure. Some of the trim appears to be damaged by smog and UV.

The 4 new tires are awesome.

I’m currently in TX, to see the girlfriend after my flight got canceled.

Aside from an idiot light coming on & an exhaust leak, she’s running perfectly.

This is the first long distance trip with my 500 cfm edelbrock AVS carburetor. She still burns a lot of gasoline but nowhere as bad as before.

She likes to cruise at 90-95mph & that’s just going with traffic. The speed limits are as high as 80mph in TX. I’ve seen a total of one police car the whole way.


It’s also less fatiguing to drive with the power steering working, power valve from WCCC holding up fine so far.

The cheap ones I’ve tried before would’ve already died.
