Me LIKEY!!!!

The new 2012 Shelby 1000 Mustang:

In stock tune this Shelby produces 800 bhp at the rear wheels, add on some upgrades and you can easily reach 1000 tire-shreading bhp.

What’s not to like besides the price tag? 150k plus a super snake…ouch.
If the dash is signed they’d have to throw in another so I could make it look nice again. A $helby signed dash would be cool for the wall and for resale.

It’s fun to daydream…If I won the lottery I’d buy a Ford GT and daily drive it.

Wow…my question…what gets used up first, the first tank of gas, or the first set of tires…LOL.

Think they would be pissed if you put one of those retro-69 bodies on it?

I think their worries go out the window after signing on the dotted line…LOL. That would be pretty cool, though. You are talking Dynacorn body?

Not sure who makes the body kit, saw one at SEMA.

HAWTTTTTTT!!

:edit:

I mean the new Mustang, not the repro body. The repro body is kinda just… not good looking.

And man do those tires look nice. Body too, looks great. That’s one hawt n frisky lookin car.

When I when the 527-bazillion-gigadollar Super-Lotto-whatever it is; I think I’ll buy one of those and do a “bling-delete”, remove EVERYTHING that even remotely hints at Ol’ Shel, and paint it the “almost faded to silver” metallic blue color popular on the V6 Mustangs you rent from Enterprise for 34.99 a day. Tone down the exhaust a little and go hunting for New Camaro owners.

Yeah, that would be fun for a while.

Not that I would turn one of those down, but I’d rather have a Boss 302.

That repro just doesnt look right. Is it made to fit a new mustang? Its all out of proportion or maybe just the photo.

Yes it’s out of proportion for a '69-70 body and no it’s not the photo. The new Mustangs have a shorter decklid, and the cars are “thicker” top-to-bottom. Add that to the “Roman nose” bulging hood (to clear the intake on a Mod-motor) and you see how different the car is compared to the classic version.

The “Shelby” bodykit really accentuates the difference.

I think the body kit folks did a pretty good job with what they had to work with, but yes, the proportions are off in order to fit the current chassis.

They also offer Mach 1 and Boss 302 versions.

Those look better, the Mach and Boss versions.
