Measurements for 1968 Door Pull holes

Years ago not knowing the interior differences between 67 and 68 I bought an entire set of deluxe door panels, arms rests and door pulls to redo the interior of my 67.

Now I’ve encountered this issue. My 67 door has the following holes for door pulls.

Apparently I need the upper holes shown on this 68 door to mount the deluxe arm rest.

Does anyone have good measurements of where exactly those holes should be cut? Or have you come up with another ingenius way to bolt on the arm rests?

I may be wrong or thinking of XR7 but there is usually a triangular plate that goes on the door with the correct inserts for mounting the door arm rests.
