HERSHEY, Neb. (AP) — An Iowa woman who was ticketed for speeding in Nebraska perhaps didn’t take the citation seriously — deputies clocked her driving at 142 mph as she accelerated away from the traffic stop.
The Lincoln County sheriff’s office says the 31-year-old woman from Council Bluffs was eventually arrested on suspicion of willful reckless driving after deputies caught up with her for a second time early Saturday. Deputies first stopped the 2018 Ford Mustang around 1 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 80 near North Platte after it was recorded driving 92 mph in a 75 mph zone. The driver was cited and told she could leave.
But she took off at speed and the deputies gave chase, using radar to clock her driving at 142 mph.
My '13 would do it, quite easily and comfortably(meaning it felt stable, etc)…then I went and put new tires on, and never did it again. Totally ruined it.
Since how this topic has come up. Last Saturday I had to pick up my wife from the airport ended up coming home on a really nice newly paved 2 lane highway. While she was reading her book I gradually let my 2017 GT get to 120 then floor boarded it got to 145 before she ( my wife ) cane in glued! These newer mustangs are very capable.
I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, “You know you always have the
Lord by your side”
And I was so pleased to be informed of this
That I ran twenty red lights in his honor
Thank you Jesus, thank you lord
A friend of mine bought a new '17 Mustang GT w/stick shift(5 or 6 speed?).On a wide 2 lane street in his residential area while in 1st gear he floored it and hit 50 m.p.h. “just like that”. Now 50 is nothing when you think about it but we sure got there quick. For a street car if you’ve got it down low you usually have it up on the top end. For some time now the Mustang GT has been a strong runner.
