Mercury dealer

Is there any way to track down information on old Mercury dealers? As my car’s b-day is fast approaching, i’m interested in seeing some pictures or learning about the dealer where my car was first sold.

Per the Marti report:

Dealer_name Security Linc-Merc inc
Dealer_address 1800 s figueroa st, los angeles, ca 90015
Dealer_number 52a460

What have you tried so far for web searches?

Have you reached out to Phil Parcells or Jim Pinkerton to see if either of them have photos in their files?

You could try to google the dealership. Another place to check would be with a local historical society, provided that there is one for a given area.

The dealership name and address is in the national database but I do not have pictures of that dealership.

I too, have been searching for any information, photos, or dealer memorabilia from the dealership that sold my Cougar originally. I did google the name but didn’t come up with much. I was able to find a matchbook cover on e-bay. If anyone has any additional info, I would appreciate it. The dealer was Fiore Lincoln Mercury located at 5600 Sixth Ave in Altoona, PA. Thanks.

You guys may have already come across this site, but maybe not. Quite a few dealers listed here, some with a bit of history on name changes and years of operation.

I hope you find this useful, or at least interesting.

There should be a sticky on this topic.

Tried finding info on mine as well. Found nothing.

Mine is Bruce Crary Lincoln Mercury 222 West Las Tunas in San Gabriel

All i have tried is several different variations of google and ebay searches. I have not found anything at all. My goal is to find some pics, but i would really LOVE to find some old license plate frames

Thank you for checking, Sir.

For your google search, you can also use the address and look up what business is currently on that spot. Sometimes it is still a dealership, but with a different name. From there, a few phone calls to the current business may yield some info ~ maybe a few names of “old timers” that used to work there. If you have names and a town, it’s not too hard to find a phone number from there.
