I snag all the Mercury stuff I see on the web, especially as it pertains to the GT 40 program. Mercury’s contribution to the racing history is a very large part of why I am a Cougar fan!

I tried to delete my pictures, as soon as I realized they were duplicates from the article. If anyone else, can, please go ahead.

The Mercury GT40 was unveiled along with the first Trans-Am Cougar at the “Cougar Revisited” event held end of October in 1966 in Monterey CA.

A fleet of Cougars were available for the press to drive and Parnelli Jones, Dan Gurney and Kim Novak were on hand.
