Purchased this survivor M Code XR-7 3 years ago…it lives across the river in the original owners garage which helps keep my dirty hands off the wheel…lol. I added the Borgeson box with all new control arms springs big slotted disc brakes up front NOS Eaton 5 leaf rear springs with Koni 's and a big front sway bar. Aftermarket new Mag 500 wheels…and replaced the exhaust with a Borla SS system. Otherwise the car is Stock including the points distributor. I have averaged 3-4 trips each summer only occasionally taking it to car shows as Im usually drag racing the 67 DragCat or wrenching in “Joes Garage” . The 2nd owners widow called and said Im having my driveway repaved …you will not be able to get the car out for a few weeks unless you pick it up now. I have finally got a chance to put some miles and smiles and I turned her loose on the mountain roads near my house…Oh the big cat loved it ! This car with the upgraded suspension and the borgeson box is just fabulous! The M code Windsor makes smooth linear torque and I love the growl of the Borla exhaust.
Nice looking cat! I just put those same tires on my 70 M code and have been very pleased. I’ve got stock exhaust and looking for just a bit more rumble, but nothing deafening. How do you like the Borla SS?
