I am considering to install a set of mud guards. I have some small rock chips behind the rear wheels and it may only get worse with time and larger, stickier rubber. I’d like to hear from the group what folks use and why. TIA
A little credit to Weather Tech for having the Cougar available in it’s pull down menu.
Though I have not tried this myself, a friend used that protective clear plastic sheeting normally installed on headlamps on his old car. Expensive, but it can be peeled off and saved his paint.
Otherwise, I’m with Al Bundy. I had a set of mud flaps on my first '67 back in high school, since we lived in the country and I drove on a lot of gravel roads. But not for long – they didn’t really do that much and make the car look bad, IMHO. So I took them off.
Great idea to use clips for long drives or clear bra material. There are a bunch of chrome “sitting lady” mud guard options. Probably best to hang on my garage wall. I am happy to report that no Hello Kitty themed flaps exist.
