Mustangs Unlimited GT-E

I saw on eBay that Mustang Unlimited is selling the GT-E that is shown on their Cougar catalog.

Amazing collection of parts… G front valance, XR7 Dash in a standard, G shift knob… I would love to get a closer look at the bars on the rear lights.

Bill I agree with you. It is a quite different with all of the other parts. I asked a while back on MC.net about the different parts mainly the tail lights. I wonder if they could be off the Dan Gurney XR-7S show car? HFII’s XR-7S tail lights should still be with that car even if it has not been seen in public since 1980. I wonder if MU has any info about them and the other parts on that GT-E.

The word I got was that the tail light bars ere inspired by the XR7S prototype. They were hand built from aluminum bar stock. I don’t think they came off another car. The front valance was also said to be hand fabricated, not an original G part.

Cool mods but I feel they should not be done on a true GT-E.

At least they are all reversible. The dash would be the hardest part. What you don’t know is what level of quality they put into the conversion to the XR7 dash. The wiring could be butchered…
