So my 67 is getting close to coming home, and I am now back on the hunt for pieces and parts that I still need to get. One thing I have had, for now a VERY long time, is the classic oval Cougar air cleaner. I have settled on the F4B intake, and a 715 3259 carb. I’m looking forward to getting the car back, but it is much farther torn down than I was planning on. My 69/351W would have had clearance issues with the air gap intake, if I hadn’t already cut the hood for a scoop- I have an ‘extra’ hood that has already been ruined, but as I am going for close to stock looking I’d rather stick with the flat hood. Plus the fact that I bought that stupid air cleaner back in like 2001, and so far it hasn’t wanted to fit anything!
