My Cougar Eliminator in Diecast & Johnny Lighting

When your young and playing with that new Johnny lighting/ hot wheels car dreaming of one day owning that car in life size. Well that opposite is happening with my Eliminator. I have the life size, now I can get the mini me version. At the MCACN show the Muscle Machine people brought over their catalog and showed my Eliminator in it 1:18 scale. Doing my Eliminator for the 50th anniversary of the Boss 302 & Eliminator. Said it is available pre order and is going into production now.

That was a real surprise and then to add icing on the cake. At the end of the show the Johnny Lighting people showed up with the Muscle Machine catalog. Said they already took some pictures of my Eliminator and needed more as they’re going to do my Eliminator as well. They need to change the die a little and want it as accurate as possible before releasing it. They didn’t give me a time frame on the JL but sounded like it would be out soon. JL also took pictures of Tom Grossman blue 428CJ Eliminator and are going to investigate doing his Eliminator.

Hey, how cool is that?!!

That’s awesome! Congrats!

I love the diecast cars, but I figure I can either buy toy cars or save / spend on my real car. Not quite enough in the budget to do both ~ not to mention space to store / show any diecast I might acquire >.<

Mike, I get what your saying as I don’t have a lot of Cougar collectible stuff. But, this can be a good conversation starter as you can tell everyone you sat in that Eliminator.

Does any one do a 1-1/8 of a 69 convertible …lol
I will be in …:hugs:

I have only seen the 69 Eliminator in 1/18th scale. Johnny lightning does offer a 69 convertible in 1/64th scale. Those come in burgundy, light yellow, a reddish-orange and dark green that I am remembering.

Right on! That’s pretty cool rare chance to have that opportunity to having a matching collectible!

Congrats Brian! That has to be a great feeling knowing your car will be in so many kids and adult kids homes!

The Muscle machine 1:18 are released now. Cheapest place to find them is on ebay.

LOL! Good selling point…

I was just looking at one on ebay, item #153744059581, and they show several under hood photos. Someone at JL must have looked at the actual car photos backwards as they have the battery and the washer bottle reversed. The battery is on the drivers side and the bottle is on the passenger side.

Yeah, the American Muscle isn’t real correct. When the JL comes out it should be better.
