Wasn’t sure where this would be best posted, it is techie but not Cougar related (so I’m a gonna put it right 'cheer).
I can’t YT stuff at work, but what I read seems very cool. Enjoy.

That is the coolest stuff I have ever seen.
At Ross Nanotechnology, we have developed a super hydrophobic coating that completely repels water and heavy oils. Any object coated with our NeverWet™ coating literally cannot be touched by liquid. Any liquid placed on this coating is repelled and simply rolls off without touching the underlying surface. Not only is this amazing to see, but it solves a myriad of problems.
I would say that if you ever want to repaint your car again without fisheye’s in the paint, you might not want to use this stuff. It says it silicon-based coating. Painters like to stay away from silicon.

I’m thinking there are a lot of football coaches out there that would buy this stuff. How many have we seen get a Gatorade bath in the past few weeks?
Nanobots frighten me.
Can you imagine trying to paint a surface where the paint just bounced right off? On the other hand, I want to see if they have licensed any one for a car wax product…
And good to see you here Randy!
I could see myself using that stuff. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have had to hose my boots off when I get home from tromping through the mud when setting glass.
I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Hey '70 Fast Cat Welcome!
I know, I have been sitting here thinking about ways to use that stuff. I would love to be able to see what it does on the bottom of a set of water skis. I would love to be able to treat speakers with it so they could go outside and not be destroyed by the weather. I would love to treat the glass in the shower so it didn’t always get so lime stained.
Thanks Bill. Have been lurking since you started the place. I must say, I like it.
There is already a product out there that can go on your shower glass. http://www.clearshieldonline.com/ I have used it on several frameless showers that I have installed, and it works beautifully. It also comes with a 10 year warranty. Your glass would have to be either spotless or replaced, but it is worth it. Call around to some local glass shops and see if they can get it for you.
LOL, I would love to have it for our kitchen table chair cushions!!! Specifically, the two the kids sit in!
Neat stuff, and the “anti-ice” potential is incredible for aviation…:y:
My wife used this same type of stuff (hydrophobic) in a project she did for her Bio-physics degree she’s working on now. Pretty neat stuff.
I dunno about you guys but I will be more than happy to spray this junk all up in my wheel wells and on the undercarriage. Maybe stick with normal old wax for the painted body panels and all. But on the underside? I’m all over that.
…what are the health hazards to mammalin life?
Specifically, would this stuff be safe to apply to a certain flea-bitten gray (that’s a description of the animal’s color, NOT a description of parasitic critters) Arabian horse that likes to lay down in his stall at night; not paying any attention whatsoever to whether or not he’s parked his arse (or belly or shoulder) in a p*ss-puddle or steaming green turd.
If it’s safe, this could potentially save me $100’s (or more) per year on “Green Spot Remover” and animal shampoos designed to take the stains out of the coats of light-colored livestock. And my dumba**'ed gray raghead would STAY GRAY, not become a light-gray horse with tan/brown patches.
I could afford to pay the freight on a new-to-my-Cougar left quarter panel from Don!
Just because they are power mad, mutinous li’l buggers? I’m not ‘fraid O’ nanner-bots!
oh, but you are 'fraid of the nanner-rammer…LMAO
