Did they REALLY offer the three-speed on the tree?? If so, how many got it??
Never offered three on the tree in a Cougar. They are thinking Camaro.
I didn’t think so, but I didn’t know for sure. That would have been an odd combo, IMO. In an old truck, fine, perfect…not a pony car, though.
“Three on the tree” was never available on a Cougar, ever. In the '67-73, all cars were equipped with floor or console mounted shifters. From '74 through '79, all cars (all varieties!) were automatics. After that, it varied, but three-speeds were no longer offered, only 4 or 5-speed manuals and 3 or 4-speed automatics.
