I keep looking at some new mustang seats just wondering if anyone has tried to adapt these to fit? I’m kinda worried about over all width? I have a 68. Any help would be appreciated.
In 2005, Ford changed the mounting pattern for Mustang seats such that they are extremely difficult to modify to fit the earlier (61?-2004) pattern. Basically, the forward fasteners go rearward into a flange/cross-section rather than down through the floor.
I’m more worried about the physical size.only reason is I remember putting some fox body seats in my sisters 65 mustang, and they rubbed the door panels a little? If I have to change/ modify the runners that’s not a deal breaker.midlife thank you for that info on the tracks. Much appreciated.
Another thing to consider, the 2005-present Mustangs have side airbags inside the driver and passenger seats.
