New Dynacorn parts coming in September!

The first feedback we got on our site likes the welded in nuts…

“Gotta say I am very pleased with this repro hood. Everything is spot on. Fits well. Good quality. Solid. This was the last piece of my Cougar-puzzle and couldn’t wrap my head around what people wanted for used hoods. Excellent alternative. Loved the fact that I am rid of the J-clips on the old hood. Recommend chasing the threads: the epoxy coating is thick on the threads.”

Are there plans for a hood with the scoop?

Now that Dynacorn will be supplying us the steel under structure we can bring these back to market and at a lower price since they will now require less labor and cost.

Please keep me posted. I am willing to make a deposit now to secure mine.

How hard to do an XR-7S hood scoop?

What is an XR-7S. Not familiar with this version of Cougar.

Dynacorn is thrilled with the rate in which all these new products are selling and want to do more. My first suggestion is valances 69-70. What say you? Don’t just tell me what you need but what would they sell in mass that would make them want to do yet another round?

I could use a 69/70 rear valance. But front valances for the same should also sell well. Then I could junk a few twisted ones I have that I was thinking about hammering on.

second would be a correct fitting 67-68 rear valance. Im sure they dont want to redo that one as they think what they already have actually works.

How about a front noise piece for the 67-68? are those getting hard to come by used yet?

What they seem to accel at is stamping out Sheetmetal parts. Die cast not so much… Not crazy about this Dynacorn part.

Full and/or lower doorskins for 69-70.

I think a full door is definitely at the top of the list fir 69-70. Not quite there for 67-8 doors as I have lots of fixable ones.

Don, I was thinking of these

Not yet on that one… Looking to do parts that have flat out disappeared on the open market. 69-70 wheel houses are one to consider but unfortunately they are different 69- vs 70 so tooling would be expensive…

I think a 69-70 front valance is a good idea. The one on my car is not straight, and the two I started working on still need a lot of work.

Agree. Those reproduction 1967 - 68 vent window frames are a huge disappointment. Not only do they fit poorly they require all sorts of drilling and tapping to make them usable. The end result is lackluster even if you somehow can make them work.

Don, do you have a timeframe when you think you will be able to bring the hood back into the market?

It all depends on when the border to Canada is reopened.

Don you can fly into Canada. You just cannot drive through.
