New Reproductions Are Here! Opera Lights, Cougar Emblems

New shiny stuff! The big news is: the much-anticipated Opera Light Lenses are finally here! They look awesome. And the cool thing is, whether your 67-8 came with them originally or not, you can easily install them, since the wiring is already in place for every car. All you would need is these new lenses and some used housings.

Next are a some Cougar emblems that have been needed for some time! The first is a correct trunk lid Cougar emblem for 1969-1973 Cougars. Correct black paint on the sides, brilliant chrome finish, and 3M adhesive backing. Simply a great reproduction. Click the image below to see more pictures and info.

And last but not least, brand new 1969-1970 quarter panel Cougar script emblems. Instead being hollow and flimsy like the originals, these are solid aluminium, and the bright finish and black paint really look amazing. Test-fitted, and the pins line up just right. Again, click the image below for more info and pictures.

We’re pretty excited about these parts and hope you are too! Also, it’s worth remembering that the guy responsible for these parts is the same guy who started this forum, so that says something  Great job on these, Bill, they are excellent.

The opera lights sure are purdy. I added the “courtesy light group” to my Standard and love the little extra details.

Wow!! The opera lights look great. Thanks for the heads up on all Cougars (67/68) being pre wired for the lights. That might be an upgrade I will do to my car.

Two years I’ve been waiting for these. TWO YEARS!!! I’m sure there’s a bunch of people that could have had these produced and available much sooner. However, there’s only a handful of people who won’t settle for ‘good enough’. Kudos Bill!

It is really rewarding to offer “Spot On” parts like this. So far we have worked with five different companies to bring out about 30 new products and everyone of them has been of this quality. I was talking to someone in the industry last week about this and a couple of other parts. They just could not fathom why we would spend the amount of money we did and invest this much time. What do you say? If they have to ask, they probably will never get it…

Personally there is nothing that irritates me more than seeing a part reproduced that isn’t right. I give you guys a lot of credit for maintaining such a high standard. Even though some of this stuff may be a bit pricey, I would rather pay a little more for something that’s right instead of buying some POS that isn’t.

i will for sure be ordering the emblems after my car is painted, great work guys!

The 1/4 emblems look real nice (well it all does). Just wondering, why the incorrect mounting nuts? The correct barrel nuts are available repro from AMK. Too expensive?

They have been out of stock for months with no ETA when they will be back in stock. We decided not to wait.

There you have it. Thanks.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice

I took some new pictures using harsher lighting / different environment / different backgrounds to try and showcase these opera lights a little better. Shiny chrome stuff is always a challenge. That’s the thing about photography - a lot of it is just experimentation and trial & error. :martien:

There, now they look shiny! Also, as was mentioned in the other thread, you can see a slight difference in the chrome quality for the inner vs. the outer ring. Since the outer ring is metal, and the inner ring is plastic, you’ll see a difference if you really look close (especially at the thickest part of the inner ring, where it starts to look a little cloudy). But, in my opinion, this isn’t really going to be noticeable in the car, and as you can see, they look awesome.
