New Steeting Wheel from WCCC

She went in pretty easy, like doing the first half of a turn signal switch. The fitment between the horn button & the housing is a little tight & the horn won’t pop back into the not honking position.

It’s a quick fix. Increase the diameter of the horn button hole with Dremel tool & use a wee bit of silicone spray to smooth out the feeling of it.

The feel of it is great & its smaller in diameter then the factory wheel. This makes it a zillion times easier to enter & exit the vehicle.

Like any new part, it’ll have to break in I suppose. Its just a little stiff, but the horn is smoothed out.

Would you consider writing a review on our site and linking the video?

I added the review. Make sure the youtube link works. The video itself is unlisted as are all my Cougar videos so my car doesn’t get stolen. :sunglasses:

Where is the link to the new Steering Wheel?

Found it!

Installation in a Mustang…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7LjzZ29J6U

Finished up my installation this weekend.

Ditto on the Horn Button Sticking after installation. I tested it before inserting into the hub and it was fine, after insertion, sticking.
I disassembled the Horn button (3 plastic tabs) I hit the inside of the Button housing and the outside of the horn button with 220 Grit sandpaper to make things “smooth”. After the initial scuffs it was easy to see the high spots in both pieces, not exactly a precision manufacturing job for a close tolerance fit but I digress… Also the Horn button has a pretty stiff mechanism that hold it in place. I used one of my plastic Upholstery Crowbars to compress the tabs, otherwise you would scratch the Aluminum Hub with anything else( screwdriver etc…) Pic’s later

I currently have the smaller grant wheel on my first Cougar for years and don’t like the smaller dia. You do more over correcting with stock power steering. I bought this WS6 series last week. Has a different horn hub button with the 6 bolt, so I’ll let you know how the install goes. hopefully it doesn’t make getting in & out that much harder otherwise I’ll install a tilt.
