Not a Cougar But....

A few months ago I sent you guys some pics of the '65 Galaxie my Dad got. Well, last week I get the title in the mail so I call him and ask if he’s lost his mind(not in those words. I would never talk to Dad that way). He tells me no, it’s that he just had his will drawn up and is giving my brother the house and since he gave me the Cougar, and my wife the Tbird, that he wants me to have the Galaxie as between the three they should come out a wash. I had really hoped he would have kept that one for a toy, but he decided he likes his '76 LTD better since he got the new engine. So it looks like I will be driving a '65 Galaxie home when I visit Dad over Thanksgiving. It’s a really nice car. Just kind of shocked.

That looked like an awesome car. Sounds like a good surprise

It’s a very nice car. At this point the guys at work are wanting to know if he wants to adopt another son. I wish my brother wouldn’t have sold the '67 Galaxie station wagon he restored and gave him. I was a little pissed about that one. He should have appreciated the work it takes to restore one and the fact that he did it for him. He sold it for $4000.

Some people sure are funny. It’s not like $4000 gets you much, better to hold onto it and at least have the sentimental value

I hear you. My Cougar isn’t going anywhere!! Neither is the Galaxie or the Thunderbird. In fact, this winter Debbie’s Tbird is going to the paint shop so it won’t continue to be a 30 footer. I’m sure after the drive home though, that at least a front disc brake upgrade will be in the works.
