1974 started the era of bigger heavier Torino/Montego with a Cougar badge. They were good looking, luxurious, smooth, and quiet, but an entirely different cat. I always wondered if anybody had tried putting a performance suspension/drivetrain in one?

Lol, I was thinking of a street rod, but yeah I guess that counts!
I added a rear anti-roll bar (from a Lincoln Mark I.) and a larger front one to a 72 Montego wagon, along with fatter tires. Used polyurethane bushings at both ends. Made a difference in handling. I was happy with acceleration from the 400 engine.
It sounds great when the muffler gets ripped off…
Not my cup of tea but looks like it sold and hopefully somebody got what they wanted. It still beats seeing the same SUV’s driving around
