Ok I know this is in here somewhere but I can't find it

I have a 73 that’s basically been made into a 90s pro street it was in process of being painted then something happened and it was abandoned for who knows how long lots of the wiring is questionable but so far everything seems to work but turn signals the relay system was in back fender-well cover in water and is pretty rusted I need to know if I can by pass this for now to get at least one tail light to use as turn signal ? I have to get inspection so I can get a title in my name I have flashers and running lights that’s all i lack to get my title

Tail lights and side marker lights have nothing to do with the turn signals at all. Get a shop manual.

If you unplug the sequential controller in the trunk, you should still have brake/turn signals on the inner most rear lights (orange/blue, green/orange). If not, you may have a fuse or turn signal switch problem.

The running light circuit is a black wire feeding the other bulb element. Note: This is confusing because Ford chose black for ground also.

ok that makes sense i have flashers with all unplugged thank you very much

you missed my point

Verify that the turn signal fuse is good, otherwise the turn signal switch has probably failed at the rivet for the blue wire on the top of the switch cam.

High current causes the rivet to heat up, melt the plastic, and disconnect the turn signal contact bar on the underside of the switch cam.

You can try to replace the turn signal cam with aftermarket part.

thanks for reply we are working enough for inspection now one time only the its a vintage tag no inspection

have another question everything works but left front turn signal bulb and socket are good parking light works but not sure where to look on signal

The LF turn signal comes from the turn signal switch on the light green/white tracer wire. First check this signal at the switch connector. Then it goes through the firewall connector to the under hood harness. The front turn signal bezel plugs into this harness towards the left front of the car. Unplug the connector: check for corrosion and flashing 12V signal.

thanks this thing has been stripped a little so we are having to figure what is what

well guys thanks for everyone help it was a bad pigtail from the turn signal not quite sue how I am going to fix but I hit it and everything started working
