One potential reason why different cars may sell for weird prices at auctions

This photo is from a car that will cross the block on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at Mecum Indy.

I don’t think I’ve seen a Monte Carlo bar quite like this.

Holy cow - are those suspension and power steering parts?

So when that Cougar doesn’t bring much we’ll know why.

I will give the fabricator an “A” for creativity and an “F” for cleanliness and workmanship.

Only original FoMoCo Monte I have ever seen. Adjustable and more stout than others.

I mean it works and is adjustable, what is not to love?

Definitely thinking out side the box

Might be a trucker, looks like it was modeled after a load lock.

Darnit!! Why didn’t I think of that???

Sheez Dave I almost spit my pop on my computer, that is funny. But I agree with the other guys very ingenious. He could be on roadkill. Thanks for posting.

That’s one way to spread things back to how they are supposed to be.

Not just the MC bar but the whole engine compartment is a hot mess…

As information, it was not a Cougar, but a Mustang fastback and it hammered sold for $30,000 to an internet buyer.

Wow. Looking at the auction page for that car I sure don’t understand that price. Nothing remotely special about that car which would justify that price, especially given that engine compartment.

mustang fastbacks have been going to stupid money for a while now just because its a fastback

And that is why the guy that bought my last Cougar ripped the driveline out and put it in a Mustang.

There is something in the air at that auction. I am watching today’s show on DVR and they sold a driver quality 1982 Jeep Honcho pickup for $100k plus premiums! Got to be a great bartender too.

I don’t know, that Monte Carlo bar is pretty special!
I’d bet it was a good ole country boy makin it work!!
