Has anyone had an issue getting Open Tracker’s angled Monte Carlo bar to fit on a 67/68? The first issue was top fender bolt heads hit on the hood. I was able to source some flat head bolts to fix that. The bigger issue is the actual bar hits the hood, I even pushed the bar tight back to the air cleaner which helped but not completely. They’re telling me that they haven’t run into this before, and are listed as fitting on 1st gen cougars. I find this hard to believe because they are all original factory panels. I’m trying to avoid going to a straight bar, and having to buy another bar. Not to mention for what they cost, the fitment issues should have been addressed!
