I’ve been reading the Big Book of Cougars, trying to get up to speed on the cats. I’m now into the 1969 section, so I know the answer to my question is not in the book.
Does anyone know (remember, I’m a Coug newbie) where the term XR7 came from?
XR in Mercury is for Experimental Racing. Remember that there were other cars with XR in the model name, namely the Mercur XR4TI.
