Looking for an original compressor and clutch or a company that does not take an arm and leg to rebuild. It is for the 68 GT project. I believe it is a tecumseh.

I just replaced a leaky original last week (although I kept the tags). I don’t know if it’s truly repairable or if the shop has tossed it yet but I can check if you have any interest. Happy to send it over for freight costs.

If the other two don’t work out for some reason I just pulled a Tecumseh off my 302. Clutch is bad but it should be a good rebuildable core.

Where are you getting your compressor rebuilt? I have a 71 xr7 that needs rebuilding and am in the market for information. Any estimate of how much one would expect to pay to have the work done? I haven’t a clue. Thanks. cougarxr71971
Mine was totally frozen. It was going to cost about $200, but it had to be working. If you want his info let me know. I have to go to plan B on a tecumseh compressor.

Hey Charlie, I still have my original Tecumseh. I couldn’t tell you if it was “working” before or not, but you are welcome to it…free for the effort of driving over(since I’m so far away and all…)…
