Original Factory Emblem Dyes?

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? They are supposed to be factory dyes for making Cougar emblems and a horn button.

That’s cool, how big are they?

They are just a few inches across and very heavy.

They look to me that they could be for Styled steel wheels center caps. Cool find. From the same place you found the R code at?

Yes. Same place.

Those are for the 67-8 and 69-70 center caps.

I wonder if someone like Scott Drake would be able to use them.

The 69-70 version looks pretty tired, they have their own, usually the process changes quite a bit over the decades so often the tooling is obsolete for today’s machines.

Notice the detail on this repro…

Those mold tools for the SS center caps were listed on ebay several years ago.

I guess they showed up here. I thought it was funny that the pics were so old. When I went to buy the 68 R-code Cougar the guy had them.

Do remember what they were trying to get for them back then?

No, I do not recall. Too long ago. Kind of a cool conversation piece or paper weight though.
