I am getting psyched up to disassemble my pancake motors to clean and refresh. I’ve removed the most tired looking motor from the regulator and decided to measure the no load current draw. It was extremely labored at first and slow, but sped up after 15-20 seconds with a no load current draw of 350mA plus/minus. Has anyone ever measured the current draw before and after?

I intended to do that on mine, but forgot. They move so much more freely after rebuild, I’ll be surprised if no load current doesn’t drop in half. Here is a pic of mine all cleaned up before re-assembly. I liked the sad face plate!

Well I took the first one apart which was pretty easy and found carmelized white grease,white lithium maybe? It’s no wonder they bog down over the years! Any recommendations as to what type of grease to use for reassembly.
