I am looking for some images of 50 series (aspect) tires on 17 inch rims on our cars. Mine is a 1969 so I really am interested in 69/70 cars. Trying to make some decisions on tires/wheels and some photos would help me a lot. Thank you.
I’ve got 245/45-17 on front and 275/40-17 on the rear of my 1969. Happy to post pics but I realize it’s not what you’re looking for.
Thanks. I have seen 45 and 40s but not much in 50 series. I realize it is a little taller but would really like to see what they look like on a car.
Here’s a 275/50/17 on my 68. Suspension uses 4.5" shackles in the rear with a standard ride height mono leaf. So a slight increase in ride height IIRC.
Thank you for the photos. I wanted to see the side wall height - the 40/45 seem to thin for my preference. The 50 in your photo looks good. I am leaning toward 225/235 50 17" for my 69 with the Legendary Magnum 500.
This site has one of the nicer tire comparison GUIs that I have seen. I used it specifically for evaluating side wall thickness vs rim diameter.
Thanks for the calculator. That works great.
