I have replaced the power control valve, the line is now hitting on the pitman arm, we have ran the 1 piece line with the old power control valve,
we are now running the 2 peice line so the fitting that comes with the line fits into the control valve. has anyone ran into this issue? does anyone have any good photos of theres? thanks in advance
The lines carried by auto part stores often don’t fit right. Here’s what it looks like with Blue Dot brand hoses.
Are the Shafer hoses any different in fit / quality, or are the Blue Dot hoses a better quality hose?
Never have seen the Shafer ones so I don’t know. The Blue Dot hoses are built to Ford drawings so they fit really well.
Chokostang seemed to recommend the Shafer for the good drivers, and Blue Dot for concours…probably for cost difference.
I used Chokostang and their pieces fit just right. The stuff at the auto parts store sort of fits, for a few bucks more you get something that fits just right. Remember these cars are 50 years old (wow I am getting old).
